New Sunday School Class: “Marriage on the Rock”
Society requires years of preparation for almost any significant career endeavor, but demands no real preparation for one of the most crucial undertakings in life…marriage. In an age of disposable marriage and information overload, where can couples turn for real answers that will make their relationships work? They can turn only to God. “Marriage on the Rock” clearly details God's principles that will turn disillusioned, divorce-bound marriages into satisfying dream relationships. The class will meet on Sundays at 10:45AM following the 9:30AM service beginning October 2nd. Kristie and Jason Disbrow will lead this study. Sign-up sheets can be found on the Communication Table and at the Welcome Center or call Kristie Disbrow at 457-9459 or email her at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. DISCIPLE Bible Studies…Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study
The DISCIPLE Bible Study program is designed to develop strong local churches through the in-depth study of Scripture. Through DISCIPLE, persons are strengthened in their faith and guided into service and ministry. Strong, biblically nourished leadership will help our church grow in vitality and Christian discipleship. DISCIPLE I will be on Wednesdays at 6:15PM beginning September 7th. Rev. Jeff Roberts will lead this 34 week study. For more information, email Jeff at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . DISCIPLE IV--UNDER THE TREE OF LIFE will be on Wednesdays at 6:25PM beginning September 7th. This is the final study in the four-phase DISCIPLE program and is prepared for those who have completed “Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study.” The study concentrates on the Writings (Old Testament books not in the Torah or the Prophets), the Gospel of John, and Revelation. Emphasis on the Psalms as Israel’s hymnbook and prayer book leads naturally to an emphasis on worship in the study. Present through the entire study is the sense of living toward completion – toward the climax of the message and the promise extravagantly pictured in the Revelation. Reesa Roberts will lead this 32 week study. For more information, email Jeff at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
JESUS IN THE GOSPELS will be on Mondays from 10:00AM to noon in Room 207 beginning September 12th. This 30 week Disciple Bible Study invites believers to look at Jesus in each of the four Gospels and asks the question, "Who is the Jesus that you see?" This study will deepen discipleship through better understanding of the biblical texts and their message. Two questions frame this study: "Who is the Jesus you bring with you to this study?" and "Who is the Jesus you take with you from this study?" JESUS IN THE GOSPELS takes participants on a journey from one question to the other. The course is based on a study manual and a gospel comparison workbook. Cheryl Jones will lead this study.
