Intentional Faith Development
5 Practices - Intentional Faith Development

The Fellowship of the Believers

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."

Acts 2:42

volunteerIntentional Faith Development is about knowledge about our scriptures and our faith…it is about knowing God’s Spirit and being open to God’s Spirit…and it is about living in the Spirit, producing fruit. That’s what our faith is all about.  If we are in relationship with Jesus Christ in our daily living, then we will produce fruit, like the branches that are connected to the vine of Jesus Christ. The fruit that we produce, says the apostle Paul is "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" (Galatians 6:22). The fruit produced by being "in Christ" is evident in the way we live our lives. So, if we are to intentionally develop our faith, the church will help us to live out our lives, producing the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control).
