Jesus loved children.  Who has not heard the beloved story of young Jesus in the Temple speaking with the religious authorities (Luke 2:41-52 or seen at least one picture of the adult Jesus surrounded by and caring for children? In Jesus' culture, as well as ours, children matter.  Hebrew parents had an obligation to teach their children the Law and bring them up to be responsible members of the community — which was also the community of faith.  Each time a child is baptized we recommit ourselves to care for them and bring them up as Jesus taught us to.  That is why we have such a wonderful staff of volunteers at Trinity committed to caring for your children and teaching them to walk in the grace of God.
